Speech and Language Program
The speech and language program at Bradley School serves students in grades K-6. These students have been identified as having delays of speech and/or language. Students may have difficulty in one of the following areas : pronouncing sounds correctly, following oral directions, expressing their ideas verbally, or speaking fluently. The speech and language program currently serves sixty students.
Resource Specialist Program
Students in the RSP program have been identified as having a learning disability meaning a discrepancy between ability and achievement based on a variety of tests administered by more than one staff person. All students are fully mainstreamed in a regular classroom. RS students attend the RS classroom in a pull-out, small group model in which they receive intensive instruction in the core subjects of reading, writing, spelling, and math. As well, they may receive small group support for their regular classroom assignments.
Moderate Special Class
The Moderate Special Class at Bradley School serves students in Grades K-2. This classroom provides individualized instruction to meet the needs of students with moderate disabilities through curriculum that focuses on functional academics. Alternative curriculum is used to teach basic academics as they apply to the student's daily life.
