Dear Parents of Room 2,

            CST STAR testing is over! Results will be mailed to you in August. I feel confident your child did well.

            Open House is this Thursday, May 6, starting at 5 p.m. with a burrito dinner. We will have the room open until 8 p.m.m and you will have the opportunity to visit other classrooms, as well. I hope to see you!

            This Thursday we also begin a project with "The Clay Lady," a local artist who was worked with Bradley students for years. The cost of our ceramic project is $10 per student. If you cannot pay, please let me know so that I can try to find a way to pay for your child's participation. (I am already covering some of this with my own money).

            Next week our students are going to be working in the computer lab for three days with a trainer from the My Access writing program. Other teachers from the district are also invited to attend this valuable training. Because of our early start, please try to make sure your child is on time Tuesday through Thursday, May 11-13 so that they can participate fully in this program.

            Finally, Thursday, May 13 is Bike to School Day. I plan to ride to school, and will have cocoa for any other bike riders. This is a great way to start the day. If you plan to let your child ride to school, please have them inform me. They should wear a helmet and be sure that their bike is in good working order.

            Thanks for all your help this year. On to 5th grade!
