November Highlights

Dear Parents,

We had a great field trip on the O'Neill Sea Odyssey. Weather cooperated and made for mostly smooth sailing. Thank you to all who drove and chaperoned the students. To see more information about our trip, visit: www.oneillseadodyssey.com. I will add photos next week.

Report cards went home Friday, Nov. 13. Please review the contents of the report card with your child, and look over the AR report I included. That report shows how many quizzes your child has attempted and passed since school started. The amount of reading done at home is very important to school success. The more your child reads, the better he or she will do in school. So please encourage your children to read 30 minutes a night.

We are starting a knitting project at school. I have furnished knitting needles to each student. Please buy a skein of yarn for your child. This activity will help them with their handwriting, and is an opportunity to do art during the day.

      December book report

Our next book report is due Dec. 4. Students have put together a "book jacket" for their project, and will write the various components at home. Please help your child by checking for spelling, capital letters and neatness. Thank you.
