Students in the RSP program have been identified as having a learning disability meaning a discrepancy between ability and achievement based on a variety of tests administered by more than one staff person. All students are fully mainstreamed in a regular classroom. RS students attend the RS classroom in a pull-out, small group model in which they receive intensive instruction in the core subjects of reading, writing, spelling, and math. As well, they may receive small group support for their regular classroom assignments.
