District Budget Crisis

The State of CA is facing a severe budget crisis that will seriously impact every district, school and student.  Our District must trim 11 million dollars (approximately 9%) from its projected budget for 2008-09. Please visit www.pvusd.net and read under Budget Crisis and find out how you can write your legislators to express concern. Sample letters are on this link.  All 17,000 students throughout PVUSD will be making a chain, 17,000 links long, of drawings and letters that will be delivered to Sacramento lawmakers with the message: “don’t hold our children hostage”. With the cooperation of the entire Bradley Community we have greatly improved safety and traffic flow in and around Bradley School.  Thank you all so very much!  Please continue to send any comments to Mrs. Arola in writing/email, Kathy_arola@pvusd.net or drop a note in the office so your comments can be heard and shared.

Olweus Bullying Prevention Program

This outstanding Bullying Prevention program is in full swing at Bradley School.  There have been school-wide assemblies, staff trainings, revision of discipline and Bradley Bonus forms, as well as classroom meetings. We are encouraging students to use their voice to tell adults about situations where someone is being bullied.  We are also asking students to be sure and include students who are easily left out.  For more information, please speak with your child’s teacher or visit the program website at: www.clemson.edu/olweus

Have a wonderful and safe Spring Break!
