School Site Council Minutes
Members Present: Kathy Arola, Kathleen Blair, Marci Ernest, Celmi Williams, Andrea Carlos Willy, Steve Harrington, and Heidi Barnes
Call to Order: Andrea Carlos Willy called the meeting to order at 4:54 p.m.

Safe School Plan:
It was noted that we need to add to the plan regarding the Bullying
Prevention Program and the new bench slip policy. Other comments were noted by several members
and they will be turned in Caryn Lane.
If you have any additional comments, please get them to Caryn right away.
North Zone/Budget: Now Kathy reports that the picture is Doom and Gloom. A Budget Committee has been formed. We were given a handout prepared by the Committee. The goal is to try to not cut at the BASE level (instruction during the school day for grades K-12) – to cut as far away from the classroom as possible. The District needs to cut $11 million from the budget. The District is having the students make a paper chain with 19,000 links representing each student in the District, which will be hand delivered to Sacramento. Write letters to our representatives! Form letters have been prepared and were passed out. You can also access these form letters on the PVSUD website. Kathy is keeping a bulletin board updated in the staff room with all budget matters.
Site Budget Plan. We then reviewed Bradley’s budget for next school year. The School Plan with new budget numbers are due one month earlier this year. We were given timeline.
Academic Program Survey. We reviewed the summary of the APS Survey. The results will be incorporated into drafting the School Plan, which is due April 29.
Principal’s Report:
We watched a slide show on the Bullying Prevention survey. A kick off assembly was held today. Kathy also mentioned the budget
situation. Wizard of Oz is coming up the weekend of March 14 and 15.

Meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m. with the Principal’s Report combined with
the Home and School Club meeting. Next
meeting is Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at 4:45 p.m.
We may have an extra meeting on April 29 at 4:30 p.m. to complete the
School Plan.
